The Livingstone island tour retraces the tour by David Livingstone in 16 November 1855, when he was paddled in a dugout canoe ‘Mukolo’ through the swift rapids to towards the roaring plunge forming a cloud of midst as the vast Zambezi flow plunges over a cliff in to the Batoka Gorge. David Livingstone was safely paddled to the Goat Island known as the Livingstone Island.
